
On the 25th of February, Following the announcement of a new immigration system, Florence raised her concerns about the rights of migrants to a family life under the new system. Florence asked Priti Patel, the Home Secretary:
‘The Secretary of State said in her statement:
“We will continue to refine our immigration system, and will build in flexibility where it is needed.”
Does she recognise that denying migrant workers the right to a family life—the right to bring their family—is inflexible, and a breach of the Human Rights Act 1998?’
