There are many ways that people can help others, including the most vulnerable, while avoiding physical contact including: helping with food shopping; collecting medication; and staying in touch over the phone or via social media.
The Council’s volunteer scheme is now live. You will be required to undertake DBS/CRB checks for safeguarding purposes and can apply by filling in the online form below.

Covid Mutual Aid UK is a group of volunteers supporting local community groups organising mutual aid throughout the Covid-19 outbreak in the UK. They focus on providing resources and connecting people to their nearest local groups, willing volunteers and those in need. Members of the public can sign up quickly and easily and can be called on to do simple but vital tasks such as: delivering medicines from pharmacies; driving patients to appointments; bringing them home from hospital; or making regular phone calls to check on people isolating at home.
